Head of Sound/FOH Sound Engineer
This opportunity came at the end of my second year at college where I had the chance to run FOH sound at Radfest in Radcliffe. Radfest is an annual event run by the community of Radcliffe on Trent. it predominantly showcases artists from around Nottingham
Prior to the event I assisted in collecting all the equipment needed and loading it into a van to be taken to the event.
On the morning of the event, the setup went smoothly. I along with the other students in their second year made sure those who were in their first year knew what they were doing and helped where needed.
During the event, I had a year 1 shadowing me, this gave me the chance to impart what I had learnt over the past year using the X32 to them and it gave them the chance to mix several of the artists. when each artist changed over we communicated as a team to make sure everything was in the right place for the next artist.
